What we do with personal information you send us through this website, and the rights you have over it.

Who we are
Phonate Telecom is a UK technology and telecommunications company, established in 1998, providing telecoms, connectivity, AI, SaaS, energy and professional education services to UK businesses and homes.
This policy explains what we do with personal information collected through this website.
To be confirmed. The registered legal entity name, company registration number, registered office address, and our registration number with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) need to be supplied and inserted here before this page is published.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, request a quote or ask us to check coverage at an address, we collect what you type into the form:
- Your name
- Your company name, if you give one
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you give one
- The message and any details you include, such as a postcode
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers keep technical logs of requests. These can include an IP address, the page requested, the time of the request and basic browser information. They exist to keep the service running and secure.
We do not run advertising trackers, analytics profiling or third-party marketing pixels on this site.
To be confirmed. The retention period for server logs, and whether our hosting provider retains them separately, need confirming with whoever administers the hosting.
Why we use it
We use the information you send us to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, check what services are available at your address, and provide and administer any service you go on to take.
To be confirmed. The lawful basis relied on for each of these purposes under UK GDPR — and the basis for any marketing communications — needs to be set out here by whoever is responsible for data protection.
How long we keep it
To be confirmed. Retention periods for enquiries, quotes, customer accounts and billing records need confirming. They differ, and several are set by other obligations such as tax record-keeping.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Have inaccurate information corrected
- Ask us to erase information, in some circumstances
- Ask us to restrict how we use it, in some circumstances
- Object to us using it, including for direct marketing
- Ask to receive it in a portable format, in some circumstances
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s independent data protection regulator.
